MINIDIA PLUS, MINIDIA PLUS-T

The miniDIA deionizers line has been designed to be handy, compact and economic, ready to adapt to plant situations with low water flow.

Thanks to different configurations, the miniDIA deionizers can supply 10 to 30 liters / hour of treated water according to the CLSI standard.

PLUS-T versions include a treated water storage tank with a capacity up to 50 liters.

TROUBLESHOOTING

GENERAL ISSUES

The miniDIA does not start

1. Check that the power cable is correctly connected to the DIA and to the electric socket.
2. Check that the socket is working.
3. DIA switch must point to “I/ON”.
4. Unplug the power cable from DIA power block and check the fuses; if necessary, replace them with new ones of the same type and amperage. Repeat the procedure from point 1). If the system does not switch on…
5. Power off the DIA turning the switch to “0/OFF”, turn the manual by-pass valve to “by-pass” (to the left) and immediately call the Customer Service.

There is no power, but you need deionized water.

1. Turn the manual by-pass valve to “by-pass” (to the left). Leave the DIA on, so that you notice when the power comes back again.
2. When the power supply returns, turn the by-pass valve to the normal working position (to the right).

The miniDIA is making a noise.

1. The deionizer must not be installed on benches, furniture or other devices.
2. The front panel and the back panel must be close.
3. If, as well as the noise, you notice that the device is overheating, power off the DIA by turning the switch to “0/OFF”, turn the manual by-pass valve to “by-pass” (to the left) and call the Customer Service.

The miniDIA has stopped working because the pre-filters have not been replaced and there are no new ones available.

1. Switch off the deionizer and activate the manual By-pass mode.
2. In these conditions the IONtank will last for a much shorter time.
3. When you have the new consumables replace it.

You can smell burning.

1. Power off the DIA turning the switch to “0/OFF”, turn the manual By-pass valve to “by-pass” (to the left), continue to work as usual and call the Customer Service.

Water leakage AB3 alarm ( if the leakage control has been active)

1. Inspect the inside of cylinder housing as best as you can (plus version)
2. If there is a serious leak, switch off the miniDIA and wait for the Customer service to arrive. When the miniDIA by turning the switch “OFF”, turn the in-feed tap to “By-Pass” and call immediately Customer service.
3. Never leave the deionizer ON with the water in-feed tap open, especially with AB3 alarm (if enabled) or if there are any water leak.

The miniDIA stays in the empty tank status too long or too often in warning (AB4 Empty Tank)

1. More water is being drawn off than the deionizer can produce. Contact our Customer service.
2. The prefilters are blocked and are limiting the module’s production, try to replace them.
3. Have you ever received any AH1 messages, even occasionally? Check previous warnings in the register.
4. Call Costumer Service.

miniDIA is asking for replacement of IONtank (PLUS version) or miniION; more often than in the past

1. Your average water requirement has increased
2. The miniDIA has remained in By-Pass mode for too long (PLUS version), manual or automatic.
3. The total salinity of the raw water has increased. To measure this value, call our technical customer service.
4. Call Costumer Service.

No water is being delivered

1. Check the right housing of miniION cartridge in miniDIA version
2. Check the connections on the IONtank in PLUS version.
3. Be sure that delivery pipe is not bent
4. Check if you put the miniDIA in By-Pass (PLUS version) the water is begin delivered: if not, this means that the pump unit is damaged; otherwise there must be a problem with IONtank connections.
5. The pump is damage. Call costumer service.

AI and AP ALARMS

AI1 No mains water supply. Water reserve exhausted.

The system has signalled there is not inflow of water.
The deionizer has a reserve of water for the osmosis process.Product water supply is guaranteed by the water reserve.

1- Make sure that the in feed tap is open.
2- If the raw water inflow is equipped with a prefilter unit, check that the prefilters are not obstructed.
3- Check that the inlet pipe is not blocked
4- Check that the manual feed-tap is not in by-pass (Plus version) or close position.
5- If the problem persist call Customer Service.

AI2 No mains water. Block system.

The system has signalled that there is no water inflow.
The minimum level sensor has not been covered in 20 seconds. The deionizer has a reserve of water for the osmosis process.
Product water supply is guaranteed by the water reserve.

See solution message  AI1

AI3 No mains water. Block system.

The system has signalled that there is no water inflow.
The deionizer has no water reserve for osmosis process.
Product water supply is guaranteed by reserve water.

See solution message  AI1

AI5 Insufficient mains water inflow

The system has calculated that the time taken to fill the tank is longer than the period indicated in the specifications. The capacity is not sufficient to guarantee the nominal productive inflow of the system. If the problem persists, the alarm sounds every 12 hours even if it has been switched off. The service is guaranteed depending on the average inflow of mains water

1-Check raw water supply line, feed tap, external prefilter, water pressure.
2-Replace miniDIA prefilters
3-If the problem persist, call customer service.
The system has calculated that the tank filling time is longer than the period indicated in the specifications. The capacity is not sufficient to guarantee the nominal product inflow of the system.

AP1 Replace prefilter

The system warns, that is necessary replace the prefilters. You have 24 solar hours to replace the prefilters.
Water supply available.

1- Replace the old pre-filter with a new one (see section 11.1-11.2)

23 hours have gone since the miniDIA asked you to replace the prefilters AP1. The system is asking for immediately prefilters replacement.
The miniDIA is in By-Pass (only PLUS version) to not stress the osmosis system.
In one hour the system will stop. Product water supply not available.

1- See solution message AP1.

AP4 System has stopped because the pre-filter have been not replaced

24 hours have gone since the miniDIA asked you to replace the pre-filter AP1. The system has not feel the pre-filter replacement, the miniDIA now is stopped. Product water supply not available.
